We will request the pet fee directly through Airbnb the day you arrive, or you can select the pet fee when booking the home. ✹ QUIET HOURS - This is a residential neighborhood. We respectfully ask that you observe quiet hours from 10PM, every night of the week. Violations of this rule may result in a formal report filed on Airbnb or early termination of your booking. ✹ POTENTIAL FOR NOISE - This loft apartment is on 2nd floor and loft of a three-story duplex. This is a historic home, built in 1867, and the walls are thin and not soundproof. It is possible that you may hear the guests below you at some point during your stay. ✹ STREET CLEANING - Street cleaning takes place weekly. The posted street signs will indicate which day of the week cleaning occurs. If you find street cleaning is occurring on a street on which you are parked, you may find alternate parking on an adjacent street where street sweeping is not taking place. ✹ OPEN CONTAINER POLICY - Downtown Savannah has an open container policy (plastic only) which allows you to walk around and drink (only) in the downtown Historic District, north of Forsyth Park. Neighborhood

The Beach Institute Neighborhood, on the east side of Savannah's Historic District, was developed in the 1850s by investors for the Savannah-Albany Railroad seeking to create housing for their workers. Overall, it was an integrated neighborhood with a strong German presence and black ownership as early as the 1860s. The predominant building type was the double one-story cottage. These cottages are not found anywhere else in Historic Savannah. The streets are tight, and homes abut the sidewalk, creating a very urban, city neighborhood atmosphere. In the 1980s, the King-Tisdell Cottage Foundation and the Historic Savannah Foundation aimed to resist the gentrification and displacement occurring throughout downtown Savannah because of the historic preservation movement. The effort was successful, and today is considered a model for conscious historic preservation planning throughout the nation. Because of these initiatives, the established Beach Institute Historic Neighborhood remains the oldest surviving African American neighborhood in Savannah. Local neighborhood attractions and restaurants include: ✹ Forsyth Park Farmer’s Market - Make sure you check out this local farmer’s market, which takes place every Saturday from 9a.m. to 1p.m. ✹ Brighter Day Natural Foods Market - Savannah's historic natural foods market has served as an anchor at the south end of Forsyth Park since 1978, offering a wide selection of organic goods, fresh produce, natural foods, and they even have a walk-up deli window serving up tasty sandwiches on the go! An ideal stop for visitors who would like to pack a healthy picnic to enjoy in Forsyth Park. ✹ The Collins Quarter Café - A local favorite for weekend brunch and mimosas. ✹ Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home - The Flannery O'Connor Childhood Home is a historic house museum in Savannah, Georgia where American author Flannery O'Connor lived during her childhood. You must climb stairs to enjoy this home. ✔ LUGGAGE - We’re happy to coordinate luggage drop-offs for guests with early arrivals. ✔ PARKING - There is free street parking available to guests on a first-come, first-served basis. There is usually ample parking available. Please note that we are unable to guarantee street-parking spaces, for trailers, U-hauls, boats, etc. If you need to park these vehicles, please make alternative arrangements. ✔ REMOTE WORK FROM HOME - There is free, high-speed Wi-Fi available throughout the home, plus a designated workspace in the living room. ✔ FAMILY - Traveling with little ones? The nearest trolley stop is on Drayton at Charlton Street. ✹ The Downtown loop runs from East Liberty Street, north on Price Street - to Eastern Wharf – then north on Lincoln Street, to Congress Street, and south on MLK Jr. Blvd to West Liberty Street. The nearest trolley stop is on Liberty at Price Street. ✔ UBER – There are plenty ride/share options too! It's quick and easy to catch an Uber or Lyft throughout the city.
