Here Are A Few Kind Words from Our Previous Guests: “This was a great Airbnb for business travel! We had a large group attending a conference at the the convention center, and this place was perfect for our needs due to the private rooms.” - Elena “Really beautiful old Victorian duplex, beautifully fits the Savannah energy. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. My friends who stayed in the right side of the duplex with me really loved their rooms, I'd absolutely come back for a longer stay with how welcoming the hosts were! It's also not a long walk from a few breakfast places, a Savannah favorite of mine is Fox & Fig which is wonderful for plant-based folks. It'd be incredible for Autumn when it's a little cooler out!” - Rue “We stayed at this Airbnb with a large group and had a great experience. The neighborhood felt safe and it was very easy to get in and out of. The whole house was very clean and the hosts were very accommodating whenever we had questions. Neighborhood
The home is in the heart of Savannah's downtown Victorian District so you're just minutes away from all the activities the walkable city has to offer. Stroll through Savannah’s famous Forsyth Park and Chippewa Square (where Forrest Gump was filmed) on your way to River Street (less than two miles away) to enjoy restaurants, pubs, and even a haunted trolley tour. Visit one of the many museums or stroll through any of the 22 downtown squares to learn about the city's heritage. Tybee Island is the nearest beach destination and is only 18 miles away. Savannah's Victorian District is a diverse neighborhood that flows south from the well-known National Landmark Historic District. The Victorian District encompasses the West Victorian, East Victorian, and Dixon Park neighborhoods. This downtown neighborhood was developed in the second half of the 19th century as a streetcar suburb of the original city and is studded with two- and three-story houses as ornate wedding cakes. Thanks to residents' dedication and commitment to preservation and restoration, the Victorian District is known for its beauty and charm. It's a very central neighborhood, consisting of SCAD students, Savannah locals, and visitors like you. The Victorian District's short city blocks, vibrant mix of people, architecture, restaurants, and parks make it one of Savannah's most walkable neighborhoods. Local neighborhood markets and restaurants include: ✹ Forsyth Park Farmer’s Market - Make sure you check out this local farmer’s market, which takes place every Saturday from 9a.m. to 1p.m. ✹ Brighter Day Natural Foods Market - Savannah's historic natural foods market has served as an anchor at the south end of Forsyth Park since 1978, offering a wide selection of organic goods, fresh produce, natural foods, and they even have a walk-up deli window serving up tasty sandwiches on the go! An ideal stop for visitors who would like to pack a healthy picnic to enjoy in Forsyth Park ✹ Chinatown Market – This little local market is the best Chinese Supermarket in Savannah. Check out their secret backroom with fresh produce and Asian foods. ✹ The Sentient Bean - This neighborhood fixture at the south end of Forsyth Park is a local favorite. We love the Bean for vegan breakfast and lunch options. ✹ The Collins Quarter Café - A local favorite for weekend brunch and mimosas.
