Here Are A Few Kind Words from Our Previous Guests: “The house was beautiful and cozy with out feeling cramped. The lay out and decor was so pretty and made you feel relaxed. The beds are so incredibly comfortable. The neighborhood is beautiful with lovely neighbors, and restaurants close by. We were able to walk to Foxy Loxy every morning for coffee and breakfast. The grocery store is a two-minute walk, and downtown is at most a mile up the road. The fenced in area was so nice and private with a beautiful batch of bamboo. I definitely recommend staying here. It’s beautiful.” – Hailee “Our stay was wonderful. Very close to the park, restaurants and points of interest. Beds were comfortable and extra amenities were available. Would highly recommend this place to stay.” – Christopher “This was a great experience! Right next to Forsyth Park and a quick Uber down to River Street. Neighborhood
The home is in the heart of Savannah's downtown Victorian District so you're just minutes away from all the activities the walkable city has to offer. Stroll through Savannah’s famous Forsyth Park and Chippewa Square (where Forrest Gump was filmed) on your way to River Street (less than two miles away) to enjoy restaurants, pubs, and even a haunted trolley tour. Visit one of the many museums or stroll through any of the 22 downtown squares to learn about the city's heritage. Tybee Island is the nearest beach destination and is only 18 miles away. Savannah's Victorian District is a diverse neighborhood that flows south from the well-known National Landmark Historic District, The Victorian District encompasses the West Victorian, East Victorian, and Dixon Park neighborhoods. This downtown neighborhood was developed in the second half of the 19th century as a streetcar suburb of the original city and is studded with two- and three-story houses as ornate as wedding cakes. Thanks to residents' dedication and commitment to preservation and restoration, the Victorian District is known for its beauty and charm. It's a very central neighborhood, consisting of SCAD students, Savannah locals, and visitors like you. The Victorian District's short city blocks and vibrant mix of people, architecture, restaurants, and parks make it one of Savannah's most walkable neighborhoods. Local neighborhood markets and restaurants include: ✹ Forsyth Park Farmer’s Market - Make sure you check out this local farmer’s market, which takes place every Saturday from 9a.m. to 1p.m. ✹ Brighter Day Natural Foods Market - Savannah's historic natural foods market has served as an anchor at the south end of Forsyth Park since 1978, offering a wide selection of organic goods, fresh produce, natural foods, and they even have a walk-up deli window serving up tasty sandwiches on the go! An ideal stop for visitors who would like to pack a healthy picnic to enjoy in Forsyth Park ✹ Chinatown Market – This little local market is the best Chinese Supermarket in Savannah. Check out their secret backroom with fresh produce and Asian foods. ✹ The Sentient Bean - This neighborhood fixture at the south end of Forsyth Park is a local favorite. We love the Bean for vegan breakfast and lunch options. ✹ The Collins Quarter Café - A local favorite for weekend brunch and mimosas.
